This may seem like a long song, but don't let that fool you - you'll
see and hear repeated material about every 2 bars. Try to be aware
of where all the repeats are and also where the larger repeated
sections come back. Also notice groups of notes and what note they
begin on, for example in the first 2 bars, the first four notes
begin on 0a, the next four begin on 1a, the four after than begin
on 2a - this goes right up the scale! Other groups descend the scale.
Seeing the structure and pattern in groups and sections will help
you memorize this song.
If you haven't yet purchased this book, now is the time to get "Suzuki Violin School Book 1". You can find this order it from the library page of this site, or find it locally as well. We'll be learning to read notes and rhythm as our songs are becoming a bit more complicated than our current fingering method will accommodate.
To get a jump start on note reading, please have a look at the note reading page as well!

but rather you'll be beginning to read your own sheet music!
