Sometimes Lightly Row is a scale, sometimes Lightly Row skips notes - try to map out when it climbs and when it skips!

Slow practice is best at first, then work your way up to joining notes together without stopping in between, THEN try speeding it up a bit - but not so fast that it goes out of control. Always build up technique slowly and carefully, it's much better to be able to play something slowly with good form rather than quickly with poopy form. Think of playing like choreography, in the beginning, it's really about learning to control your movements with detail.

Lines 2 and 4 are exactly the same fingerings (the difference is that line 2 is played in the upper half beginning at the tip, line 4 is in the lower half beginning at the frog.) Try to combine bow speed and pressure to get a good full sound on each and every note. Memorize this song (and every song we learn!)
