Please visit our online calendar for a listing of available lesson times, and email me to set up a time. http://ical.mac.com/virv/StringSchool

Students may wish to schedule private lessons together if working on the same music or chamber work, but keep in mind that I can only accomodate 3, maybe 4 students maximum at my home location at a time.

Violin and viola playing, as well as requiring mental focus, is also a demanding physical activity. As such a new class is being developed to address such issues as relaxation, correcting imbalances in posture and freeing up movement as it pertains to the violin. Abbey, our body expert, will be leading the class through a series of gentle exercises designed specifically to address violinist's issues and will also give specific help and adjustments. If you are experiencing discomfort with the instrument, or even in work or other situations, this class will help you to learn more about your body and how to best use it to fuller potential, lessening discomfort and learning to move and use your body more naturally. For more about Abbey, please visit her web site: personaltrainernyc.com.

All interested violinists and violists are welcome to attend, not only my students. Please reserve you place by submitting the class fee below.

Students may enter the room at 7:00pm and warm up if you wish as we have the room reserved at 7:00pm (if there is no one in the room and you're early, feel free to go on in, but if there is someone using the room, please do not disturb them until our time 7:00pm). Also, please don't practice in the hallways, and keep voices low in the hallways on the 4th floor, this building is both commercial & residential - if you would like to practice before the recital, probably best to make time before leaving for the recital.

Students please bring something to eat, drink or paper plates / napkins or plastic cups for the reception, also to help with the cost of the recital, please don't forget to leave something in the donation bag on the snack table - suggested donations are:

$10 student performing
$3 guest / observer
kids free.

Everyone's welcome to attend, friends, family, current and old students alike - if you're not currently in lessons, do feel free to bring your violin and have a stab at as many of the pieces as you remember! Write for a repertoire list.

We will start the recital on time! If you arrive late, please wait until you hear clapping to enter the room.

If anyone can arrive early to help set up chairs or arrange the snack table, this would be great and is very much appreciated!
